The Molteni& C Mateo table by Vincent Van Duysen is a beautiful round dining table designed for entertaining enabling you to create the easy-going atmosphere of Italian hospitality, a table that is elegant and minimal and totally in line with the soul of the Molteni brand.

A striking feature of the Mateo table is its slightly flared cylindrical pedestal base which has been divided vertically in two. Made of a curved plywood structure, the symmetrical halves meet in an open furrow, creating a completely new and unexpected design element. The internal frame is further strengthened by a hidden rod in lacquered metal which ensures stiffness where the base meets the top.

Available in three round sizes, the table top which tapers slightly at the edges, can be selected in two wood finishes; coffee or sunrise oak. For the base you can choose the same wood finishes, a burnished matt lacquer metal finish, or you can choose glossy lacquer in any of the Molteni range of colours. Pictured here in a coffee oak fnish for the table top and base the Mateo table is matched with the Porta Volta dining chairs which can be seen in the related products along with a round Mateo table in glossy lacquer or marble and an oval Mateo dining table, as well as a low-level lounge table.

It is also possible to add a rotating central tray, a Lazy Susan, a typical part of oriental culture which allows all diners to be served in a practical way, creating intimate moments of conviviality. Available in calacatta, emperador dark, or black marquina marble in two sizes; 80cm and 100cm.

Colours & Finishes

Available in four round sizes. Table tops are in coffee or sunrise oak. The base can be selected in the same wood finishes, or gloss lacquer in the colours of the Molteni collection, as well as a burnished matt lacquer metal finish. There is also an option to choose a shiny steel base, please contact us for further details.

Lazy Susan in calacatta, emperador dark, or black marquina marble in two sizes; 80cm (for the 160cm and 180cm tables) and 100cm diameter (for the 200cm table).

As marble is a natural finish a certain amount of irregularities (small fissures) can be expected on the marble top, such irregularities are inherent to the types of the marble used.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.

For larger/very heavy items please check access/dimensions when you order, & let us know if there is a lift/stairs. If we have notice we can arrange an additional delivery team, or even a crane/hoist - both an extra cost, but will charge for deliveries not made due to access restrictions.
