‘Blue Glow’ by Lucinda Metcalfe is an original oil painting on canvas, inspired by the familiar imagery of family holidays and travel brochures. 

Filling the canvas with rippling water and hazy, dappled sunlight, the painting offers memories of rest and relaxation, however, the slightly distorted landscape and blurred forms on the periphery of the scene object to our escapist longings for nostalgic, childhood summer holidays. 

Framed in a white tray frame, ‘Blue Glow’ is 125 x 175 cm, and signed by the artist.
