The Bonaldo Alix bookcase by Maurizio & Silvia Varsi for Italian brand Bonaldo fits perfectly in their collection, with finishes to match their extensive range of contemporary furniture.

With its wooden Canaletto walnut frame protruding from the wall-mounted metal structure, the Alix lightweight bookcase furnishes the wall by breaking its monotony. The careful choice of materials is at the core of this project, consisting of simple and linear shapes: the concept is strengthened by the use of aluminium, a cold and tenacious material that makes the structure optically light, combined with the warmth of the wood, the real star of Alix’s design.

Available in two widths, 124cm or 184cm wide with a depth of just 30cm and a height of 214cm, making Alix an extremely efficient use of space. The painted aluminium shelves & inner metal frame can be lacquered in several colours, including some metallic finishes. The images show a raised surface but for 2024 the painted aluminum shelves will have a smooth surface

Please note that to prevent this bookcase from tipping over it must be permanently fixed to the wall (not included in our delivery) & has a maximum capacity of 15kg per shelf.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed. Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging.

Please Note: This also requires fixing to the wall/ceiling, which is not included in our delivery price. It may be possible for us to install this too - subject to your location. Pricing will depend on the size of your composition, so please contact us before ordering if you require installation.

You will also need to check your wall carefully, as many internal walls are not suitable for heavy shelving - you may need to attach this to a brick/load bearing wall. Check with us if you are unsure.
