The Bonaldo James bed by Sergio Bicego is all about contrasts as it features a light look metal bed frame and a deeply padded headboard

These two key elements, frame and headboard give the James bed both character and discretion. This meeting of different proportions and formal synthesis is also dependent on the qualities of the materials: the dry coldness of the metal and the soft welcoming warmth of the covers.

A further ornamental motif is the stitching and needlework on the headboard which enhance it by recalling the typical elegance of the 1950s. To complete the look you can add the matching James bench which can be seen in the related products.

For the removable covers you can choose from a range of fabric, leather, or eco-leather categories, or you can supply your own material, (or choose one of our options from Romo). The decorative piping is only available on the fabric covers. Samples are available to view in our showroom and some fabric samples can be posted to you.

There are 4 sizes to choose from: king, Euro king, UK super king and US king with two kinds of bed slats available for each; one piece slats or split slats.

Colours & Finishes

Bonaldo's upholstered beds are available in an extensive choice of fabrics, ecoleather & leather colours & textures, including nubuk leather. It is usually possible to supply your own fabric too (subject to it's suitability for the design). We can also offer fabrics from Romo, or Missoni Home.

The metal feet/frame can be finished in a selection of beautiful lacquer colours, or metal finishes. All finishes are shown in the above pdf - but please note that not all fabrics are available for all beds - available finishes will be shown in the product options.

Samples of all Bonaldo's fabrics and lacquers are available to see at our showroom, or we can send specific fabric samples to you on request.

All beds include UK legal fire retardant foam and fabric (a higher standard than European FR), for overseas orders please speak to a member of our team.

Assembly is included. We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Please Note: Bed slats are made as standard with a single, rigid mattress sized frame. If you have access restrictions (narrow stairs etc) please contact our team if you are unsure.

For larger items please check access prior to delivery. If access is via a lift or stairs please check dimensions carefully. We cannot accept returns if access is not possible. We may need to add a delivery surcharge, for example where access takes longer than normal, requires more than 2 people, or where a crane/hoist is required.
