The Gervasoni Guna charpoy day bed by Chiara Andreatti is a modern take on a traditional Indian bed that is low and spacious, and extremely comfortable for lounging in your garden, or indeed any outdoor space.
Available in two sizes, the name Charpoy comes from char meaning four and pay meaning footed, and its origins date back to the 1300s. Here the designer Chiara has reinterpreted it for the modern day through the use of nautical ropes in natural, red, or blue which are hand woven onto the Iroko wood structure which has been specially treated for outdoor use.
The addition of a deep, padded mattress cushion ensures maximum comfort and it is also possible to add a head or scatter cushion for a small extra charge. All cushion covers are removable and can be selected in several outdoor fabric categories, or you can supply your own material (subject to suitability). Samples of all materials can be seen in our showroom & some can be sent out on request.
