The Gervasoni Hashi garden sofa by Federica Biasi is part of the Hashi collection of modular seating elements which take their inspiration from the Orient, Hashi literally means “chopsticks” in Japanese. Other pieces in the Hashi collection can be seen in the related products.
To create the Hashi sofas seen and priced here we have added together different seating elements which include single seats, corner units and a pouf to create a variety of seating compositions. Each element has a back cushion and a deep seat cushion made from variable density polyurethane foam and polyester fibres covered with outdoor polyester canvas with a non-slip breathable bottom. The strong frame is in stainless steel with a solid iroko wood backrest both of which have been treated for outdoor use.
Wrapped around the iroko backrest creating ergonomic support is blue or beige Accardi Outdoor Jacquard technical fabric which is a sustainable, lightweight, waterproof fabric carefully crafted by artisan weavers. The result creates a textured pattern that blends harmoniously with the wooden structure with irregular cross-section, once again highlighting the reference to Japanism and the local craft tradition.
For the removable seat and back cushion covers there are several categories of fabric to choose from, or you can use your own material (subject to suitability). Samples of all materials can be seen in our showroom & some can be sent out on request.
Priced here are just four of the huge variety of different seating compositions that are available. Firstly, a 170cm wide double seating element without armrests (not shown), secondly, a sofa comprising of two corner seat units (main image), thirdly, a 340cm wide x 176cm deep sofa with a chaise longue at one end, and finally a large 340cm wide x 280cm deep multiple element corner sofa arrangement which can be seen in the final image. Scatter cushions are not included in the price but can be purchased separately.
