The Gervasoni Kasane oval garden table designed by the Japanese studio, Nendo takes its inspiration from the Orient, Kasane literally means “overlapping” in Japanese.
Thanks to a play on the weaving and overlapping of different elements, each table becomes a sculpture. Inspired by the way in which the cups, stacked one on top of the other, become gradually taller, the collection of tables which also includes a stool are characterised by the rhythmic expression of the piled edges and by the material texture of the clay which defines the soul of the product.
Available in two oval sizes, the two bases are made of polymer foam, while the table top is marine plywood which is covered with thin layer of clay in either Terracotta, Sabbia, Giada or Pietra colours. Thanks to the final texture, the articles express material nature and a pleasant tactile sensation.
