This is the storage version of the Metropolitan bed which is part of our in house collection of Italian made contemporary furniture. You can either have a standard lift up storage base, which is where the mattress lifts up from one end or a pratik storage base, which lifts the whole mattress support up, making the space underneath much more accessible. Please see the diagrams.

Unusually for an Italian bed it is available in a UK King size, as well as the more widely available Super King & the hard to find Emperor size.

This bed is available in a wide variety of finishes and colours including eco-leather (a high quality faux leather), vintage ecoleather or leather, as well as a number of different fabrics. To see all of the options online, please please click here. We also have samples in our London showroom.

Please Note: Although the storage mechanism will lift up most mattresses if you have a very heavy mattress (for example Vispring) you will need to order the stronger gas pistons directly from our showroom or over the phone.

Care and Usage: All of our storage beds have been designed to make them easy to open and close, even when combined with the full weight of a mattress and bedding. To keep the pistons in proper working order, the recommended mattress weight for the design should not be exceeded, please Contact Us for further details.

Assembly is included. We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Please Note: Bed slats are made as standard with a single, rigid mattress sized frame. If you have access restrictions (narrow stairs etc) please choose the split slats option, & contact our team if you are unsure.
