The stunningly original Crystal Light is from quirky Italian brand Mogg Design.
Designed by Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba who takes his inspiration from antique chandeliers, saying "their delicacy is part of their charm," his aim being to create a versatile chandelier for the modern, contemporary home.
The Venetian-style Crystal is not only a shape reminding us of gemstones, it is also a wooden structure which is modelled on an everday 'transport crate'. This flexibility allows for two versions, firstly, a lamp which can be positioned on a cabinet, on the floor or fixed to the wall, or, a second version which serves as a pendant light.
Available in two sizes, the pendant version is supplied with a brass coloured ceiling rose and a steel tube with a 2.5 metre steel cable.
Mogg is a relatively new brand founded only a few years ago by architect Nicola Galbiati, they work with up & coming designers and specialise in unusual & interesting, yet incredibly practical, furniture & accessories.
