The Once Upon A Light is the creation of Emanuele Magini, who was originally a set designer for Walt Disney and is now an award winning designer having received the prestigious Good Design Award from the Museum of Architecture & Design in Chicago and the Compasso d'Oro Award to name just two. Made in Italy by Mogg Design.

Emanuele's inspiration for this stunning light came from a number of different areas;- the short story of Mr Morris's Flying Books; levitational magic, & Achille Castiglioni's Parentesi lamp.

Choose any book to place within the book holder around the bulb and it will seem as if your book is suspended in mid-air, flying or levitating.

The light is made from chrome metal and is on a floor to ceiling steel cable 3.5m long with a base in either White Carrara marble or Black Marquina marble. The switch is housed in the electric cable which is 4m long. The bulb (max 60W) is not included.

Delivery throughout the mainland UK is £10 by courier. Our deliveries are made during the week, in two hour time slots. Please check your items carefully before packaging is taken away to ensure everything is in perfect condition.

We can also deliver to the UK Islands, and abroad to almost any country, and do so regularly.
