The Molteni&C Augusto sofa by Vincent Van Duysen is now available as a versatile modular seating system. Blending timelessness with contemporary flair whilst retaining the enduring essence of the original Augusto sofa this modular range has evolved by the introduction of innovative curvilinear pieces as well as lateral and central elements to create endless possibilities for elegant sofa compositions.
In conceiving Augusto, Van Duysen started with the idea of total comfort and softness, meticulously examining the ergonomics of the body in relation to the seating and backrest. The sophisticated metal frame that forms the base of the structure runs along the perimeter of the sofa, emphasising its volume and giving it a light touch. To further enhance Augusto’s unique silhouette, elegant piping has been added which runs around the cushions and seat back.
Removable covers are available in any of the fabrics and leathers in the Molteni&C collection, or you can use your own material subject to approval. If you choose fabric covers the piping can be selected in several grosgrain colours including anthracite and olive green. Leather covers will have matching leather piping.

With so many different elements and possible seating arrangements for ease we have priced two sofa compositions, firstly the one in blue velvet shown in the main image which consists of four curved elements and secondly the one seen in light beige in the final image which consists of two curved elements. For optimal ergonomic comfort for each element Molteni recommend adding at least one or more backrest cushions which can be selected from the drop down menu.
