The Molteni &C Palinfrasca garden sofa by Vincent Van Duysen has a gently curving backrest made from natural teak rich in refined cabinet-making details and woven with a distinct warp and weft motif on burnished metal rods.
Part of the Palinfrasca Landmark collection of garden sofas, armchairs, love seats, daybeds and modular elements all of which have an iconic rounded shape which takes its inspiration and pays tribute to the 1994 work by world famous designer and architect Luca Meda for Molteni.
The backrest weave is available in teak or olive green EVA polyurethane, a pliable yet non-deformable weather resistant material with an appearance reminiscent of leather and recalling the weaves in natural materials of the Mediterranean.
There are three sizes of Palinfrasca sofa to choose from with deep, generous cushions giving an idea of abundance, softness and richness of materials. The seat cushion in moulded polyurethane with variable densities provides maximum support, for immersive comfort. The upholstery is in outdoor, draining and weather-resistant fabric.
Removable cushion covers can be selected in several categories of fabric including the Musco collection which was developed in collaboration with Limonta Spa and selected by Marta Ferri. Musco offers seven different monochrome or striped jacquard and bouclé yarns inspired by shades of nature which can be combined to match or contrast each other. For correct ergonomics Molteni suggest that you add seat back and lumbar cushions to this sofa, the amount of each will vary depending on the size of the sofa and your personal requirements.
