The Molteni &C Sway garden chaise longue by Yabu Pushelberg is available in two sizes and is part of a groundbreaking outdoor modular seating system which merges a love for nature with mastery in design.
Part of Molteni's Landmark garden collection, Sway comprises of two standard sized sofas and a wide range of modular seating elements, including chaise longues (seen here), central and end elements, a pouf and coffee tables all of which can be combined together to create any number of informal sofa compositions.
A solid teak base provides a sturdy foundation for the ergonomically designed seating that ensures optimal comfort. The aluminium backrest, softened by polypropylene rope weaving in refined ecru, adds a touch of elegance and has a soft, pleasant texture, akin to that of cotton. The golden-hour painted C-shaped aluminium frame acts as an anchor, delicately embracing the base and padded seat while serving as a pivot for the backrest. The same aluminium, which is resistant and corrosion-free, is used for the sofa feet.
Deep cushions create a rich, soft feel ensuring maximum support that will not wane with time. Designed for outdoor environments, the upholstery is both weather-resistant and breathable with removable cushion covers in several fabric categories, or you can supply your own material subject to approval.
There are two sizes of chaise longue to choose from, one is 90cm wide and has a straight back, the other is 129.5cm wide and has a seat back which curves around on one side (main image). Molteni suggest that you add back, armrest and lumbar cushions for ergonomic comfort, the amount of each will vary depending on which chaise you choose.
