The Chillida Mano rug is part of a series of six rugs that use drawings done by one of the 20th Century's greatest artists, Eduardo Chillida, made by Nani Marquina who is a contemporary rug and textile specialist.
The Mano drawing done in 1995 of Chillida's hands has been taken and replicated exactly onto this beautiful rug, which is hand woven and made from 100% hand-spun pure New Zealand wool.
The texture and feel of this rug is unbeatable, its height is 6mm and density is 124,000 knots per meter squared. Marquina is dedicated to traditional methods of craft and this rug is made by hand, with the sumak technique.
Nani Marquina have a fantastic collection of hand made rugs, & their quality is exceptional. To see their full collection click here, or to see all of our contemporary rugs click here.
