The Koster Coffee Table is designed by Staffan Tollgard for superior Italian brand Porada. Staffan says his inspiration for the Koster tables came from the thousands of islands that make up the Stockholm Archipelago where he was born and raised. The tables emerged from the idea of encasing a precious material and enfolding it in a hand-worked wrapper. Each piece thus expresses elements of the Swedish Archipelago, islands that are wrapped by rocks and surrounded by sea.
Available as a round or rectangular table with a table top in solid Frassino Ash in a range of finishes, or Rock.
Rock is a new laminated porcelain which is created by wet-grinding clay, granite and metamorphic rock together with ceramic pigments. The result is an incredibly hard-wearing compacted finish which is colour and shine proof, as well as stain resistant to coffee, wine, oil and lemon.
Please note that if you select a Rock table top it is only the top level that will be in this finish. The lower level will be in Frassino Ash to match the frame.
