The Stripes Wardrobe System from luxury brand Schonbuch is a huge, totally flexible, architectural cupboard programme, designed by a two-man team - Markus Jehs and Jurgen Laub.
A key feature of Stripes is that the cupboards are available in a minimum depth of just 35cm, making it perfect for hallways & smaller rooms. Individual elements of different widths, heights & depths can be combined together to maximise the available space. Front panels are painted in either matt or gloss lacquer and have no visible handles. 'Stripes' or gaps between the doors are emphasised in either white, walnut or aluminium.
In-between the cupboards it is possible to include a niche element with the back panel either painted, fabric-covered, or mirrored. The lower section then becomes a built-in sideboard or a comfortable bench seat with either drawers or doors below. Alternatively, mix in some open elements with loose shelves or a hanging rail.
There are numerous internal layouts (priced separately) for the storage of clothing, shoes, bags, umbrellas, sports equipment or keys, as well as a charger for mobile phones & other electronic devices. The 46 cm deep cupboard elements can be selected with an apothecary-style pull-out section. Corner cupboards have two hinged doors. There is an additional white acrylic lighting element. Trim strips are available as an option to fill out niches accurately. Reduced heights can also be ordered except for the elements with lighting or pull-out sections.
Priced here is the 2 door wardrobe (split 50/35cm) as seen on the far left of the main picture. The internal fittings are not included as there are several different options available.
