The Tribu Otto round garden dining table by Marc Merckx was inspired by a rhythmic ‘ribbon’ pattern, often found in Italian bar counters from the ’40s.
Made in Belgium, the Otto table collection also references ancient architectural pillars with their typical fluted pattern. The robust yet elegant patterned base supports a floating round table top in ceramic or natural travertine, making this durable, timeless design perfect in any outdoor setting.
The teak base is made from hand selected A-grade teak grown on plantations in East Java. For the table top you can choose from either sabbia or scisto ceramic, both of which are scratch, UV, water and weather proof, with a delicate cloudy pattern giving a subtle, luxurious appearance. The scisto ceramic finish may feature delicate veins.
It is also possible to choose the table top in Travertine, a captivating natural stone which boasts unique characteristics. Formed by mineral deposits in natural springs, it features a distinctive porous texture that lends an elegant and rustic charm. Its soft, neutral tones range from warm beige to cool grey, ensuring that every top is unique. This originality is intensified by the stain-sensitive nature of the material. Oil, red wine, as well as other liquids and acids are absorbed, resulting in a permanent stain. This makes it a ‘living thing’ that, in time, displays subtle changes in colour and even surface structure. A product that becomes more and more unique with use, perfect for people who appreciate a table with personality.
Pictured here with the Elio garden dining chairs Otto will also look good with any of Tribu's seating collections. A larger Otto rectangular dining table is also available, as well as a coffee table, all of which can be seen in the related products.
