The Vibieffe Open sofa bed by Altrodesign is an extremely comfortable sofa which quickly transforms into an incredibly useful extra bed. Hand made in Italy it is available in three sizes.

Called "Open" because it has a unique headrest which can be adjusted, so that it is either up or down. The sofa bed frame is solid wood wrapped in a high density foam and polyester fibre for maximum comfort. Cushions are filled with memory foam and the covers are completely removable.

For the covers there are several fabric categories, with plenty of colour choice, as well as luxurious leather and hard wearing ecoleather. This sofa bed can also be covered in your own fabric, subject to suitability.

The sofa bed pulls out with great ease, as it is supported by a hard wearing steel mechanism that allows you to fold and roll out the bed. The bed itself is orthopedic quality, with electro welded bed springs and elastic belts for maximum comfort.

Supplied as standard with a comfortable 12cm thick polyurethane foam mattress which is suitable for most uses.

Colours & Finishes

Vibieffe have a large range of fabrics & leathers to choose from, which can be seen in the pdf online, or in the showroom, or we can send fabric samples on request. Most of their designs are available in your own fabric, though please check the tyoe needed as it varies by design, & we can also supply any of the fabrics from Romo, Villanova & Kirkby.

There are also four types of mattress, the standard foam mattress (supplied), a memory foam mattress, a Waterlily mattress, & a latex mattress. All are 12cm high, & made in Italy. Please see the attached pdf for details.

Please Note: We supply UK foam & fire retardant treated fabric as standard as it differs from EU fabric/foam, & is a legal requirement for your UK home insurance. If you are buying from outside the UK please ask us for non UK foam/fabric.

Length when bed is opened is 230cm, bed height 44cm.

We deliver throughout the entire UK & our delivery teams are always white glove, two man deliveries made in two or three hour time slots. Our delivery teams will contact you before finalising a delivery slot, & will offer you an alternative date if needed.

Delivery is to the room of your choice, & includes assembly, unpacking & removal of packaging - although please check your order carefully before our delivery team leave as in the unlikely event of a problem we may need to return an item to the factory & will need the original packaging to do so.

For larger/very heavy items please check access/dimensions when you order, & let us know if there is a lift/stairs. If we have notice we can arrange an additional delivery team, or even a crane/hoist - both an extra cost, but will charge for deliveries not made due to access restrictions.
