The Surprise sofa bed from Vibieffe, Italy, is a departure from the way sofa beds are usually designed - its an ottoman sofa bed - to use lift the hinged seat and pull the bed mechanism out of the front, & the underside of seat cushion then becomes the headboard, complete with two handy pockets.
The bed itself is a roomy 160cm x 190cm, & is supported by orthopedic, electro-welded bed springs. An 11cm thick foam mattress is included, or is is possible to upgrade to a memory foam, waterlily or latex mattress, all made in Italy.
The sofa is available in two sizes, 198cm or 248cm (although this does not change the bed size). It does not have a back, instead the carefully designed back cushions (optional - one is shown wqith a scatter cushion, which is not included) provide support. It is also possible to buy an ottoman without the bed mechanism, to make a corner as shown here.
For the covers there are several fabric categories, with plenty of colour choice, as well as luxurious leather in several grades. This sofa bed can also be covered in your own fabric, subject to suitability, or one of our fabrics from Romo/Villanova (including their easy clean fabrics). Fabric covers are removable, leather ones are not. Spare or replacement covers are also available.
