Molteni Aster Coffee Table

The Molteni &C Aster coffee table by Vincent Van Duysen is the ultimate expression of compositional rationality and craftsmanship, a unique object made entirely by hand, a contemporary work of art that combines aesthetics and functionality. Each table has a slightly different connotation, testifying to its handcrafted nature.

A distinctive element of the Aster coffee table is its base which features a brass casting made with an earth mould that gives it a sophisticated hammered effect. The ring is mounted to the legs by welding and a vibratory finishing technique completes the aesthetics. With the help of stones, the structure is gently smoothed, giving it a wavy effect.

The table top is made from annealed glass in either a smoked or green finish with a thickness of 1.9cm and features a slight ripple in the lower area that adds personality. Again, the manufacturing technique is extremely meticulous: the sheet is placed in a mould with a textured bottom and fused at 180° C, giving the glass its distinct finish.

Available in two sizes: a 40cm diameter top 50cm high or 50cm diameter top 40cm high. The base can be selected in either polished brass or black patinated brass.

A natural accompaniment to any of Molteni's sofas or armchairs, Aster is perfect in any interior environment and has a sculptural look which will certainly enhance any space.
