The Molteni & C Arc table is an Italian design oval or round dining table created by Foster + Partners for luxury Italian furniture brand Molteni.
The unusual base shape is inspired by the technostructures currently used in modern building and is made from a new “light” cement which mixes colour and a special fibrous material to obtain a strong structure with a low weight.
Each base is printed in a single block and dyed, a process which allows for the manufacture of complex shapes. The Arc dining table combines the structural characteristics of strength and elasticity with innovative concepts such as complete recyclability and low environmental impact of the production cycle.
The table top can be selected in either extralight transparent glass with a bevelled edge (straight edge for two largest oval tables), or a variety of beautiful marble finishes which have had an anti-stain, water-repellent treatment applied. For the base there are several colours to choose from.
There are four round and five oval sizes and all tables have a single base, except the two largest oval tables which have two bases. Not all finishes are available for all sizes, please check drop down menus.
