The Molteni & C D.950.1 mirror set was originally designed in 1950 by Giovanni Ponti, the great Twentieth century architect and designer.
Now, over 70 years later, these white hand-painted solid wood framed mirrors are reborn based on the original drawings from the Gio Ponti Archives thanks to the Heritage Collection reissue project by brand Molteni&C. As with all the projects in the Heritage Collection, a careful study of the drawings, photos and period materials has made it possible to faithfully reproduce the D.950.1 mirror in all its details.
Available in three sizes, the Gio Ponti D.950.1 mirrors can be used individually, or they look great grouped together as a set. They will also perfectly match the rest of the Gio Ponti collection, as well as Molteni's extensive range of living, dining, and bedroom furniture. It is also possible to choose these frames without the internal mirrors to be used as shelving (see detailed images).
Every piece in the Gio Ponti Heritage collection which includes dining tables, sideboards and shelving units carries a serial number and complies with the design and materials in the original Gio Ponti documents. A screen-printed signature of the famous architect is a further guarantee of its origin and authenticity.
